The Chalkline Connector integrates specialty contractor coordination workflows with Newforma Project Center’s construction administration and document management capabilities, enabling general contractors and specialty subcontractors to synchronize project information, share documentation, and coordinate construction activities through connected platforms. This integration eliminates the manual overhead of maintaining separate project records across contractor and subcontractor systems, allowing teams to share drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals while maintaining coordinated project schedules and deliverable tracking; streamlining specialty contractor coordination without requiring all parties to adopt identical project management platforms.

The Chalkline Connector eliminates this disconnect by establishing synchronized information sharing between Project Center and Chalkline platforms, automatically distributing project documents from Project Center to specialty contractors’ Chalkline environments while collecting subcontractor deliverables back into Project Center workflows. The connector monitors Project Center for document updates relevant to specialty trades, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, and schedule information, automatically pushing these updates to appropriate Chalkline users so specialty contractors always work from current project information. Simultaneously, the connector transfers specialty contractor submittals, shop drawings, and coordination deliverables from Chalkline into Project Center’s workflow system, enabling general contractor review and approval through established Project Center processes. This bidirectional synchronization allows each party to work within their preferred platform while maintaining coordinated project information, eliminating manual document distribution and deliverable collection that fragment specialty contractor coordination across disconnected systems
