Newforma has been SOC 2 certified since 2022. The SOC 2 certification audit covers five specific service trust principles including security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Security and privacy are a main concern for the construction industry as the increase in threats to this industry has significantly increased. In addition, SOC 2 compliance supports federal government and classified projects.

Newforma Konekt customer data is stored in Microsoft Azure and AWS data centers, which are ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 certified. These data centers have extensive layers of protection: access approval at the facility’s perimeter, inside the building, and on the data center floor.

But beyond physical security, Newforma also relies on Azure services that are top-of-the-line cloud-based data management platforms, and are audited regularly to ensure that they always provide a secure development environment for users like Newforma Konekt.
