Newforma Konekt is a construction project management platform for managing issues, documents, RFIs, submittals, emails, and workflows. The demo walks through an active project showing how these modules work together.

Within a project, the Emails tab displays a log of all project-related email communications. Emails can also be filed directly from Outlook using the Newforma Outlook add-in, which supports auto-creating RFIs, Submittals, or Issues based on email content, and displays a list of all emails filed to a selected project without leaving Outlook. Each email record shows metadata including assignees, priority, status, and due dates. An Attachments tab shows files linked to the email, a Related Items tab connects the email to linked RFIs, submittals, or documents, a Channels tab shows where the issue is being discussed, and a History tab provides a full audit trail of every action taken on the record.

The Files section provides a centralized document repository organized by discipline or phase. Users can manage a cloud-based file library within Newforma or link to external repositories such as Microsoft SharePoint. The Sharing Center tracks all outgoing document transmittals, showing which contacts or organizations received each document package and logging every action taken on each transmittal.

Document Control is the hub for managing and tracking all project documents. Documents can be opened and viewed within a built-in Newforma Viewer. Models can also be opened for viewing from the sidebar.

The Issues module displays a log of all project issues. Issues can be created in Newforma or from BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit via a Newforma add-in, which allows users to review and update issue details directly within Revit. Each issue record includes a Details tab showing ownership, due date, and resolution status; a Comments tab for the full conversation thread; an Attachments tab for photos, drawings, and files; and a Related Items tab linking to emails, RFIs, or submittals. An Issue Dashboard with metrics is accessible from the issues module.

The Submittals module provides a register for shop drawings and product data. Each submittal record includes a Details tab showing submittal type, responsible parties, and review status; a Workflows tab showing the active review and approval chain; an Attachments tab for submitted files; a Related Items tab linking to connected issues or RFIs; and a History tab logging all review actions and status changes.

The RFIs module provides a register for formal clarification requests. RFI records include the same structure as Submittals: workflow, attachments, related items, and history.

A global search function searches simultaneously across all modules including issues, emails, documents, RFIs, submittals, and more, returning consolidated results in a single view.
