Newforma's goal is the seamless sharing of project information - no matter what application was used to create it. Too often we hear customers express concerns about the time they waste when electronic documents must be printed and faxed in order to communicate a change or new requirement.

Building and infrastructure projects generate large amounts of increasingly complex project information from dozens of best-in-class technical software applications. Every time a project member wants to open, view and comment on a report, drawing, photo, email, sketch or anything else, they should be able to do so, unencumbered by the application that authored it. Design is an iterative work process and every one on the design team should be able to access, view and add comments, markups and other annotations before passing them on to other members of the project team. During construction, RFI's, submittals, change orders and progress claims all need to be shared for review and approval between various members of the project team in much the same way.

Newforma addresses this challenge by providing access from a single viewer to many common AEC-industry file formats with associated tools which allow users to immediately interact with the project information in front of them. Users reviewing project information should not be forced to license expensive and complicated authoring applications just to view information nor should they be inconvenienced by having to swap between a collection of different free viewers that all operate independently. Newforma users can stay focused on their work process and decision making without having to launch multiple separate viewers or authoring applications.
