Newforma Customers Present “Digital Project Workflow – Are We There Yet?” at AIA’s Future of Professional Practice Conference

Panel to discuss technology initiatives aimed at a more integrated practice

Manchester, N.H.—November 14, 2007—Newforma, a software company addressing the project information management needs of the design and building industry, announced today that representatives from three of its customers – BNIM Architects; Mackey Mitchell Architects; and Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) – will compose a panel to discuss “Digital Project Workflow – Are We There Yet?” at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Future of Professional Practice conference, December 2-4, 2007, at the Capitol Hilton in Washington, D.C. Kristine Fallon, AIA 2007 TAP Advisory Group chair and president of Kristine Fallon Associates, Inc., will moderate the session.


Integrated project delivery hinges on the seamless and increasingly electronic flow of project information between project team members both internal and external. BNIM Architects Director of Information Services Aaron Kivett, Mackey Mitchell Principal and Director of Information Technology Thomas H. Peterson, and SOM Director of Firm-wide Applications Doris Pulsifer will discuss several areas on which they have focused to implement new technologies for more seamless digital workflows, including email management, contract administration, and project archiving. Additionally, they will share what they have learned to be key success factors, as well as common pitfalls to avoid, when adopting new technologies.
