HOK and Newforma to Present at Deltek Insight 2007
Methods for Effective Change Management Will Be Focus of AEC Case Study Presentation

Manchester, N.H.-Ma7 7, 2007- Newforma, a software company addressing the project process needs of the design and building industry, announced today that Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum (HOK) Senior Vice President Bob Gillcrist and Newforma Vice President Bob Batcheler will co-present "Change Management - Lead, Follow or Get out of the Way," a best practices case study, at 4:45 p.m. May 16th at Deltek Insight 2007 in Las Vegas.

The presentation will discuss the impact of change management on project success. The session will present strategies to deal with the various ways individuals respond to change, highlighting real-world examples and lessons learned in the course of adoption and broad deployment of Deltek Vision® and Newforma Project Center software at HOK, one of the world's largest global providers of design and project delivery services.

"Resistance to change is an important challenge to the AEC industry," said Gillcrist. "How a firm manages change can often make the difference between an adequately completed project and a highly successful one."

Gillcrist has practiced architecture since graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in the profession 25 years ago. In addition to directing a wide range of projects from start to finish, Gillcrist develops and promotes project management approaches, process and tools used across HOK. For example, his firm-wide implementation of Deltek Vision gives project managers and office leaders a process and tool to plan and monitor projects from pre-contract negotiation through project closeout. Gillcrist has also worked closely with companies such as Deltek and Newforma in their development and advancement of tools to assist the AECO industry.

Batcheler's AEC experience includes 11 years with engineering firms such as Black & Veatch and Bechtel Power Corporation, 19 years of technology experience with product management responsibilities at Autodesk, Inc., and key management roles at Softdesk, Inc. Batcheler earned bachelor of science and master of science degrees in civil engineering from Lehigh University, where he also gained registration as a professional engineer.
